Shriya Pilgaonkar’s Bohemian Ensemble Is Street-Style Done Right

Boho dressing has had its fair share of reinventions but Shriya Pilgaonkar’s latest look makes a case for taking the aesthetic somewhere a little less expected. Rather than leaning on the usual floaty layers and festival-ready pieces, she brings together bold Indian-inspired prints, a sharply styled black top and a generous dose of silver jewellery for a look that feels far more city than countryside.
There is a certain richness to the way the pieces come together — the kind that makes you want to look twice at every detail. From the beautifully busy culottes to the ornate collar and sculptural metal bag, nothing feels overly polished or predictable. It is retro fashion with a modern pulse, rooted in craft but styled with enough attitude to make it feel completely at home in a street-style wardrobe.
Bohemian Printed Culottes, Retro Fashion Meets Street-Style
The printed culottes set the tone from the very beginning. Cut in a loose, cropped shape, they have the kind of volume that gives the outfit plenty of movement, while the print does all the visual heavy lifting. Deep burgundy sits alongside mustard, green and navy, with geometric borders, floral motifs and folk-inspired patterns layered across the fabric. There is a lovely old-world quality to it, almost like a collection of textile fragments brought together into one statement piece.

That contrast is what makes the styling so good. Shriya keeps the rest of the base relatively restrained with a fitted black top, allowing the trousers to hold their own without competing with another loud print. The cropped length also brings the black boots into the picture, giving the flowing shape a little more structure and edge. It is a smart way to approach retro fashion without looking as though you are dressing for a particular decade. The mood is vintage but the attitude is very now.
Embellished Collar Adds Folk-Inspired Drama
The real surprise comes at the neckline. Instead of adding a conventional necklace to the black top, she wears an oversized embellished collar that completely changes the feel of the outfit. Rich embroidery, metallic detailing and a colourful border give it the appearance of a piece of folk art, while its broad shape creates a dramatic frame around the face. Against the simplicity of the black top, all that detail gets its moment to shine.

There is something particularly appealing about the way this detail bridges the gap between traditional craft and contemporary dressing. The collar feels rooted in textile traditions but she wears it with a fitted top, relaxed trousers and chunky accessories, so it never slips into costume territory. Instead, it becomes another part of the outfit’s modern bohemian language. It also gives the jewellery something to play against, creating layers of texture around the neckline rather than relying on one statement piece.
Layered Boho Jewellery, Maximalist Detailing
If the clothes bring the colour and texture, the jewellery brings the attitude. Shriya goes all in on silver-toned accessories, pairing oversized earrings with stacks of chunky bangles and statement rings. The pieces have an almost antique quality to them, with their textured finishes and slightly irregular shapes adding to the artisanal feel of the outfit. Rather than choosing a perfectly coordinated jewellery set, she lets different pieces sit together, which makes the whole thing feel more personal.

The silver also works beautifully against the richness of the clothing. It picks up the metallic details in the embroidered collar while giving the deep colours of the culottes a cooler counterpoint. More importantly, it keeps the boho styling from becoming too sweet. There is a little weight and edge to the accessories, particularly when paired with the sleek black top and boots. This is where Shriya’s celebrity styling feels particularly easy to borrow: you do not need to copy the entire look to get the mood.
Structured Metal Bag Adds Artisanal Edge
The handbag brings the whole look into focus. Small, structured and finished in dark metal, it has an almost vintage-jewellery-box quality, with an ornate handle and dangling charms adding to its decorative appeal. It is a completely different texture from the soft printed fabric, which makes its presence all the more interesting. Rather than disappearing into the outfit, the bag becomes another little detail to discover, adding a sculptural quality to the otherwise relaxed silhouette.

What makes the accessory work is that it does not try to compete with everything else happening in the outfit. The prints are bold, the collar is ornate and the jewellery is layered, yet the bag slots into the story naturally because it shares the same love for craft and intricate detailing. Together, the pieces create a look that feels collected, slightly eccentric and completely individual. And perhaps that is the real appeal of Shriya Pilgaonkar’s take on boho fashion: it is not about following a formula. It is about finding interesting pieces, mixing eras and textures and giving your wardrobe enough room to have a personality of its own.
