The New Flattering Burberry X Hunza G Swimwear Collaboration Is Here, Shop It Now

Burberry has kickstarted summer with the arrival of its collaboration with Hunza G. The British fashion behemoth has borrowed the swimwear brand’s fits-everyone Original Crinkle swimwear material to create an inclusive collection that spans one-piece swimsuits, bikinis, bandeau tops and swim skirts. Plus, there’s a scrunchie included with every item.
If Hunza G, the British swimwear brand that originated in 1984, has leant its fabrication to the collection then the colour palette and prints are all Burberry. Finding inspiration in its Burberry Check, the collection includes its bright red, black, white and trench-coat tan shades. The pieces are then complete with Check trims to reinforce that Burberry involvement.
‘There’s a natural connection between Burberry and Hunza G as British brands,’ said Burberry chief creative officer Daniel Lee in a statement. ‘Our approach to material and craft is shaped by a relationship to the elements – pieces you can wear in and out of the water.’ If there’s anything Burberry is known for it’s its trench, but the classic Check bikini has been reinforced as a cult item over the last few summers.

‘Hunza G has always been about making women feel their most confident,’ says Georgiana Huddart, Hunza G founder and creative director. ‘Bringing that together with the heritage of Burberry felt natural, to create something special that feels effortless. That’s always been the goal.’
What stands out most with this collaboration is its embracing of all sizes. Hunza G’s innovative ultra-stretch fabric is created with over nine million stitches per piece to create a fits-everyone fabric that supports and sculpts every figure. It’s especially great for those with a bigger bust who find themselves excluded from otherwise fashionable swimwear.
 

 
Of course, this wouldn’t be a Burberry moment without a cast of famous faces fronting its Ryan McGinley-shot campaign. British model Alva Claire and actor Simone Ashley take up this mantle for the Hunza G collaboration. ‘I’m so excited to front this campaign,’ Claire told ELLE UK. ‘I’ve been in summer campaigns for both [Burberry and Hunza G] so it’s really special to be a part of this dream collaboration.’ When asked how it feels to front a collection that genuinely celebrates everybody, Claire said: ‘I’m grinning writing this. It just makes me so happy to know that everyone can enjoy and look hot in this collection. I can’t wait to see which styles my pals choose, maybe in Italy, Greece or even Brockwell Park, because I love a bikini in the park on a slow hot London day!’
‘It was so fun shooting this campaign,’ Claire adds. ‘We climbed over rocks and shot to the sound of wild waves in the baking heat. It was such a beautiful day!’ Ashley agrees: ‘Shooting the campaign was so cool. I had the best time in South Africa with Ryan and the whole team. It’s one for the memories.’
On sale now, the collection is ready for you to wear to make your own summer memories, whether you are swimming in the Med or roasting in London Fields with a packet of Torres and a glass of orange wine. The pieces will look just as good styled with low-pitched jeans as they might a pair of flip flops and a beach cover-up.
