The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) has become one of the country’s most anticipated platforms for fashion, bringing together some of India’s leading designers and creative voices. This season, SHREE Jewellers returns to the runway with designer Aisha Rao, continuing a partnership that began at Lakmé Fashion Week. A standout from the showcase is the shoulder cascade, a sculptural floral shoulder jewel that reflects the collection’s focus on technique, movement and modern styling.
Fresh off creating the wedding jewellery for pan-India stars Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, the Hyderabad-based house introduces a new collection. While its recent bridal creations celebrated intricate heirloom craftsmanship, this collection explores a more contemporary design language, highlighting SHREE’s ability to create jewellery across bridal, couture and high jewellery.
Created in concert with Aisha Rao’s Priyasi, SHREE’s jewellery edit was imagined as an extension of the garments rather than an afterthought. Drawing inspiration from the designer’s signature floral vocabulary, particularly tulips and paisleys, each creation mirrors the movement, structure and softness of the couture while maintaining a distinct identity of its own. SHREE creates a dialogue between fashion and jewellery, where neither competes for clout.
The house also presents an expansive portfolio featuring bespoke bridal jewellery, men’s jewellery, temple-inspired creations, antique-finish masterpieces, Basra pearls, solitaire diamonds and exceptionally rare coloured gemstones, including the coveted Paraiba.Founded in 1989 by Mr Anil Kumar, SHREE Jewellers has made its mark with exceptional bespoke creations and a deep expertise in coloured gemstones. Today, under the leadership of Managing Director Abhishek Agarwal, the brand continues to reinterpret Indian jewellery traditions through a contemporary lens, crafting heirloom-worthy creations in pure gold, diamonds, and rare gemstones, designed not only for the present but for generations to come.
Speaking about the collaboration, Aprita Agarwal, Creative Director, SHREE Jewellers, says, “FDCI continues to be one of India’s most influential platforms for design-led conversations. It allows jewellery to be experienced in a contemporary context while encouraging meaningful collaborations. Our continued association with Aisha Rao has been a shared appreciation for art. With every showcase, we strive to create jewellery that doesn’t merely complement couture, but becomes an integral part of its narrative.”
As Indian fashion continues to evolve, collaborations like SHREE Jewellers and Aisha Rao highlight how jewellery is becoming an integral part of the design narrative, moving beyond being an accessory to becoming part of the story itself.
