Victoria Beckham’s 9 Most Iconic Football Looks, From 90s WAG To Modern Style Icon

It is of no secret that Victoria Beckham has many strings to her bow. We know her as Posh Spice, as Lady Beckham, as fashion designer, as beauty entrepreneur and as a mum to four… and not forgetting her often overlooked role as one of Britain’s funniest (yes, really) comics.

Another role that we cannot – and shan’t – forget is Beckham’s role as chief WAG, the acronym created to group the Wives And Girlfriends of the England football team at the 2006 Euros. Of course, Beckham had long been making the stands her runway by then, understanding that while all eyes should be on David and the other 10 men on the pitch, there were always going to be cameras ready to spot her on the sidelines. And so, naturally, many fashion moments were made.

Today, her approach is less Queen WAG and perhaps more fittingly Lady WAG. She has all but abandoned the slogan vests and hot pants of old for sleek tailoring that whispers rather than shouts. Where once she needed to prove her support through her clothing, now she’s wearing pieces that read more front row than obviously pitch side. Today, there’s little change from what she wears for every other occasion.

Here, we take a look at Victoria Beckham’s best football WAG style moments.

Returning to the stands at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Lady Beckham kept things sleek and streamlined in a matching waistcoat and trouser set. As ever, the look came with a knowing smile and a wink from everyone’s favourite undercover comedian as it referenced her infamous WAG looks from the 200s by way of the navy waistcoat.

Victoria’s pitch-side passion might be a little more subdued than her husband’s, but she remains a presence felt. Proving you don’t need to don a strip to sit in the dugouts, VB wore a sleek long-sleeved navy dress with a polished pink manicure. Goal achieved.

Gone were the slogan vests of old, as when Beckham took in a match in the fateful days of March 2020, she opted for patterned tailoring slung over the shoulders and worn with a boho blouse and beige tailored trousers.

Beckham has long brought her best bags to the football stands. In 2013, as her namesake business was continuing to go from strength to strength, Beckham picked up one of her own chain-handle bags to carry along for the match.

As the 2000s came to a close, Beckham was at her most prim. Attending a match in Dubai, she touted a remarkable Hermès Birkin, decorated her pixie crop with a hairband that matched her shift dress and brooch-decorated jacket and strode alongside her son, Brooklyn, in high-pitched fawn pumps.

Perhaps her most ‘iconic’ WAG ensemble came during the 2006 Euros. Beckham attended a match with another Birkin swinging from her arms, and plainly showed her support for her national team in an ‘England Rocks’ vest top, tiny white shorts and lashings of hair extensions. A look worth emulating this World Cup, if ever.

Name a more mid-2000s ensemble. Beckham was picture-perfect for a football game in Portugal, wearing England regalia her way: with visor sunnies, diamond earrings and a brilliant white cap.

Bringing a touch of Italian glamour to the England support stand, Beckham donned a Dolce & Gabbana corset cami for a 2004 match, worn with mirrored sunnies and of-the-era blow dry.

Around the time they met, the then Victoria Adams attended a football match with bandmate Melanie C at Old Trafford. The look she chose was true of her Posh Spice style in remaining all black and worked around her trademark bob.
